SP feud is a comedy which will end in tragedy : Venkaiah Naidu of BJP
New Delhi: Hours after Uttar Pradesh chief minsiter Akhilesh Yadav was elevated as national president of Samajwadi Party, party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav termed all the resolutions passed during the meet as “illegal”.
Mocking the on-going family fed in Samajwadi Party, Union minister Venkaiah Naidu said the family feud will end up in tragedy,
“It is a drama, a family drama. At times it is a comedy, sometimes it is a melody but it will end in a tragedy,” he said.
The family war in Uttar Pradesh’s ruling party took several turns on Sunday after Akhilesh Yadav was anointed as the SP president in place of his father in a party convention which also proposed the expulsion of “outsider” Amar Singh and removal of Shivpal Yadav from the post of UP chief.
Later, Mulayam expelled Ramgopal from the party for six years and said that resolutions passed in today’s convention called by Ramgopal are illegal and unconstitutional.
“Today’s meet organised by Ramgopal is unconstitutional,” Mulayam said, adding, “Ramgopal Yadav has been expelled from party for six years.”
Mulayam has called for another national convention on January 5.
Earlier in the day, the Samajwadi party chief had warned party workers from participating in the meeting organised by Ram Gopal Yadav.
