SAD accused AAP candidate Kanwar Sandhu for abusing his powers as Editor
The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) accused Kanwar Sandhu, the party candidate of AAP from Kharar and chairman of party’s Punjab Dialogue panel, of having misused his powers as newspaper editor for “personal gains.”
“ Are you (Sandhu) not honored bound to explain why you misused your position as a newspaper editor for personal gains?” SAD leader and Anandpur Sahib MP Prem Singh Chandamurja said in statement, day after the same allegations were made by Congress.
Claiming that Sandhu’s son is gaining seat in medical college through NRI quota when Sandhu himself is a newspaper editor in India.
Prem Singh also said that Sandhu also tried to browbeat the management of the medical college into stalling the fees payment. He got his son selected as an PCMS doctor but on sensing that the appointment may run into rough water, this made him resign from his position a year later.
The SAD also asked him to come clean on the funds collected by his wife who runs an NGO when he was a newspaper editor. “ He misused his power to enrich himself and his family” said the Akali leader. He also said that the “ false mask” of morality of AAP leaders has finally come off.
