READY TO CHUCK RUPEES 15K FOR COLDPLAY?
A big shout out to the Colplay fans, who don’t mind shelling out a few bucks to see Coldplay, here’s some good news — BookMyShow has gone live and begun ticket sales for the Global Citizen Festival India, 2016. And, no, you don’t have to sell your kidneys as the tickets are not priced at Rs25,000 as rumoured earlier.
However, for those pinning their hopes on getting free tickets through global citizen’s initiatives, it is time to make a decision whether to wait for the lucky draw or buy early bird tickets online starting at Rs 5,000 on BookMyShow.
Earlier this week, The Global Citizen Initiative went live where fans can get a chance to feature in the lucky draw that will assign tickets to the Coldplay concert. All you have to do is sign up on their website globalcitizen.in and tweet, post and sign their online petitions.
Making its maiden appearance in India, the festival — a collaboration between The Global Education & Leadership Foundation and Global Citizen — and will be held at the MMRDA grounds, Mumbai on November 19.
The event produced by Wizcraft International will feature performances by the popular British band Coldplay, hip hop legend Jay-Z and actors Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Farhan Akhtar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, music maestros such as AR Rahman, Arijit Singh, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Monali Thakur.
The second phase ticket sale on BookMyShow, Rs 7500 per ticket, will go live immediately after the first phase gets sold out. Ticket sales for the other two phases will go live a few days after that and the prices of those have not been disclosed yet.
There are also limited, hospitality tickets at Rs 15,000 which will offer varied benefits including Food & Beverage options.
“Since there are no seating arrangements as such for these tickets, you don’t have to worry about being put away in the back row for such a minimal amount. If you want the best space, it is on the first come, first-served basis,” says BookMyShow’s spokesperson.
The ticketing brand will also be providing end to end ticketing solutions for the event, including ticket printing for all event tickets. Most tickets will be home delivered, starting end of October.
