Panj Pyaras Sarbat Khalsa SGPC

The dismissed “Panj Pyaras” today announced that the scheduled ‘Sarbat Khalsa’ would not serve its purpose if it was called without deciding its “pattern and constitution.” The Panj Pyaras were sacked by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) last year after a series of incidents involving sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib,

They said they had called a meeting of Sikhs on October 18 to deliberate on the issue, less than a month before the scheduled ‘Sarbat Khalsa’ t

Asked whether the congregation would be postponed or be held on the scheduled date ( November 10), Satnam Singh Khanda, who was leading the ” Panj Pyaras”, said,” A committee,  which will be elected on October 18, will decide whether the congregation can be held according to Sikh traditions or not.”
