Massive Wave in Akali Dal’s favour: Sukhbir

Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal today claimed that there was a massive wave in the state in favour of the SAD and if the elections were held today, the Congress and AAP would suffer a massive defeat. Sukhbir, who was here today to hold his Sangat Darshan, said the youth would play a significant role in the victory of the SAD-BJP combine.
On the announcement of candidates, Sukhbir said all party workers and leaders were aware of the names of the candidates to be fielded and a formal announcement would be made soon.Training his guns on the Congress, he said, “Whatever strategy the Congress may choose, its total rout from Punjab as in the entire country is inevitable.”
The Deputy CM announced the setting up of a 66 KV grid at a cost of Rs4 crore, besides the widening of the Gidderbaha-Doda road at a cost of Rs12 crore.
Earlier this week, in #Amritsar, Sukhbir listed out the achievements of the SAD-BJP government during the past 9 years, Sukhbir said coalition has acted as the real benefactor of all the sections and fulfilled its promise of making Punjab a power surplus state.
He said the state government is carrying out modernisation of road infrastructure by making all the major roads 4 and 6 laned by spending more than Rs 20,000 crore besides providing sewerage, clean drinking water and LED street lights in 160 cities and towns of the state
