Majithia accuses Kejriwal of acting like “Pakistan’s spokesperson”

Punjab revenue and public relations minister Bikram Singh Majithia lashed out at the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal for seeking proofs of surgical strikes by Indian Army and called him a “Pakistan’s spokesperson” here, today.

“By questioning version of the army on surgical strikes on the basis of false claims made by Pakistan, Kejriwal is acting like a spokesperson of Pakistan,” said Majithia while taking out ‘Buland Tiranga march’, which, began from SAS Nagar on Wednesday morning and will end in Patiala. The march is organised by Youth Akali Dal (YAD) to show solidarity for the Indian Army.

Following recent surgical strikes, Kejriwal had urged the PM to “expose Pak’s propaganda” on last week’s surgical strikes across the Line of Control by giving proofs. BJP had launched an attack on Kejriwal, accusing him of “doubting Army”.

“It is very unfortunate that Kejriwal is doubting the army when as a nation we should stand by them to fight terrorism. All parties cutting across political lines should come together in support of the army and government of India,” said Majithia.

Punjab cabinet minister targeted Punjab Congress chief Capt Amarinder Singh by saying, “Captain after staying missing for several days, has surfaced in the border villages and is playing petty politics.”

“Captain himself is an ex-serviceman and moreover, his party vice-president Rahul Gandhi had appreciated the action. Then why is he playing petty politics over the issue when the entire nation stands by the PM,” said Majithia.

Majithia said, “Both the Congress and Kejriwal rather than hailing surgical strike in Pakistan occupied Kashmir were working to demoralise the armed forces.”

“The yatra is to show solidarity with the armed forces and every citizen should come forward to boost the morale of our armed forces,” said Majithia.
