Malkit Singh Maa Da Pyaar

Established Punjabi singer, Malkit Singh has given many hits earlier. Unlike most other modern Punjabi songs that are on girls, liquor, caste and drugs, Malkit has given an nicely-done emotional track ‘Maa Da Pyar’, that was released worldwide on Oct 18th this week.

Malkit Singh (ਮਲਕੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ) is from Nakodar but moved to Birmingham, England in 1984. Singh is the first Punjabi singer to be honoured with an MBE by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace. Malkit’s song “Tutak Tutak Toothiyan” is the biggest-selling and most successful bhangra song of all time.

The song, as you can guess, is about selfless and uncompromising mother’s love and affection and has great lyrics. The video is directed by the accomplished Navraj Raja, who is a legend in the world of Punjabi music industry.

The song is a recreation, rather a sequel to another track he released many years ago.
