Indian Men and Women win 6th World Cup Kabaddi 2016 | Video

India dominated the Dr BR Ambedkar 6th World Cup Kabaddi 2016 men’s final beating England easily 62:20. India team was also rewarded with the first prize of Rs 2 Crore with this win. Indian raiders Sandeep and Sultan were outstanding with 10 points each, however Khushi, Indian captain was the star of the match with 15 points.
Indian women too won the trophy smashing USA 45:10 in a high entertaining but one-sided final. USA had reached the women’s final for the first time after outpointing Kenya by 41-20 in the semi-final, winning Rs 1 Crore as team reward. The closing ceremony was held at Sports Stadium, Jalalabad in Fazilka.

Both Men and women teams of India have kept their 100% success record of winning every Kabaddi world cup.
Earlier, displaying better stamina and skills, hosts India took their appointed place in the men’s final for the sixth time after beating United States of America by 57-40 in the semi-final of the Dr BR Ambedkar 6th World Cup Kabaddi 2016 at the Sports Stadium here. For Indian raiders Manjot Singh Gill and Raju scored 12 points each while Jagmohan Sokhi scored 10 points in the semifinal.

For third position in the men’s section, USA defeated Iran 43:38 in a tough match, while in women’s section New Zealand beat Kenya 42:21.
