Harike Water Bus Operation Halted

Harike Water Bus

The Ambhibious bus “Harike Cruise” which has been successfully launched by Deputy Chief Minister S. Sukhbir Singh Badal at Harike wetland on December 12 will have to halt for 15-20 days as the water level in the reservior is very low for running the operation of the bus.

Disclosing this Mr. Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa, Director Tourism said that at present the water level in the reservior has receded and is only 3.5 feet deep. He said the reason for the low water level is that the main gates of Rajasthan Feeder Canal and Ferozepur Feeder Canal have been raised for repairs whereby the water from the reserviors is flowing down stream.
