Diljit recently garnered headlines for his great physique, which he flaunted in his last Punjabi release ‘Sardaar Ji 2.’ He had even received a number of compliments for his hot bod, but in a surprising move, the superstar had gone on the record saying that he didn’t support making six-pack abs as it is not good for health overall.

In an e-mail interview, when we asked Deepika Padukone’s personal trainer Farhan Dhalla about this, he said, “I’m really glad that Diljit Dosanjh was honest about his experience. Many times, we see stars in movies with their perfect abs and bodies and though everything looks amazing on the outside, what’s happening behind the scenes may be different altogether.”

Questioning as to why so much emphasis is laid on having six-pack abs, Farhan added, “I certainly don’t encourage anyone to put their health at risk for the sake of having a great set of abs. What’s the point in that? I think, we as a society, need to ask why we place so much emphasis on the six-pack? We need to question why we give one part of one’s body so much emphasis and validation. We are more than our abs. We are far more than that. Great abs may be a consequence of feeling great about yourself but not the real goal.”
