Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) Chief Swati Maliwal has decided that her sham impartiality has run its course and has come out openly in support of her cousin (though both deny this) and AAP supremo, Arvind Kejriwal against opposition with all guns blazing.

Yesterday, Ms Mailwal lodged a complaint with the Anti- Corruption Branch (ACB) against former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and her predecessors-Barkha Shukla and Kiran Walia, alleging financial fraud.

Delhi Commission for Women chief Swati Maliwal on Thursday claimed a minister in the Narendra Modi government was supporting a prostitution racket in New Delhi’s GB Road area.

She gave no proof for her allegations. Sources remarked that by making unfounded remarks, Maliwal is trying to escape from being booked by Anti-Corruption Branch in connection with alleged irregularities in women’s panel recruitment.

Addressing a press conference, Maliwal has alleged that the prostitution racket worth “thousands of crores” has been operational for years and the daily business of prostitution in GB Road was at least Rs 5 crore. She claimed she has a credible lead that the racket was running under the patronage of a Union minister and an “important Delhi-based leader of a national party” under whose patronage this prostitution has been running.”

Maliwal claimed she was trying to find out the real people behind the prostitution racket which was thriving just three kilometers from the country’s parliament, when an FIR was slapped against her.

BJP leaders have asked her to give proof and have threatened to sue her for making baseless remarks.
