Rahul Gandhi Queues Up at SBI Branch

New Delhi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is learning from AAP’s leader Arvind Kejriwal on how to create ruckus on the street and hog social media.

Rahul Gandhi stood in queue with hundreds of consumers looking to withdraw cash at a Delhi ATM on Friday, in an apparent show of solidarity with the common people.t.

“Gareeb vyakti ko kasht ho raha hai, mai yahan Rs 4000 badalne aaya hoon(Poor people are in trouble, I am here to get Rs 4, 000 exchanged,” he said to the reporters.

People took the opportunity of his presence and clicked selfies with him.

In response to this move by Rahul Gandhi, BJP spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao told Times Now : “Rahul Gandhi cannot attract any crowd for a rally in India, hence he has to go to the crowd himself to attract attention”

Even though the move to ban large-denomination notes has been widely liked by common people, opposition parties, including the Congress, have criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government for inconveniencing the public by abruptly demonetising the high-value currency notes, which account for 86% of the currency in circulation by value.

The Congress vice-president had earlier criticised the government’s demonetisation move on Twitter saying that the “real culprits” who had stashed “black money” were “sitting tight” as the farmers, small shopkeepers and housewives faced troubles.
