Another Election promise to settle farmers debts by Congress

Capt Amarinder Singh, President of Punjab Congress said that if his party won ,they will look for a permanent solution to settle the debts of farmers so that no one would commit suicide in future.
Capt addressed the famers, commission agents, farm labours and transporters in a gathering at Baghapurana. He also led a road show in the town as a part of the Kisan Rath Yatra.
He said that we vow to punish the Badals for driving small and marginal farmers to suicide. He also ensured that they will set an investigation against Agricultural Minister Tota Singh regarding his role in cotton debacle and also close look into pesticide scam.
KOTAKPURA: farmers and labourers of the place expressed themselves before Capt in the local grain market. The farmers blamed that they were not being paid the minimum support price(MSP) for paddy on the pretext of high moisture content whereas the labourers complained of remuneration and a lack of basic amenities in the grain market.
Addressing the farmers and labourers, the Punjab Congress president said that Akalis would be taught a lesson for failing to procure the farmers’ paddy from the mandis on time and causing harassment.
