AAP’s Ashutosh compares Rapist Sandeep Kumar with Mahatma Gandhi
Ashutosh Kumar, the embedded ‘neutral’ journalist in Aam Aadmi Party, has a tendency to hide every fault in the ‘hallowed’ Party. However, this time, Ashutosh seems to have crossed the ethical and legal ‘Laxman Rekha’, by choosing to defend his friend AAP minister Sandeep Kumar claiming the his sexual act caught in the video sting was consensual and that ‘sex is a part of our basic instincts’. Sandeep, who earlier weirdly claimed to worship his wife daily, was sacked following the release of his alleged sex tape.
Ashutosh even had the temerity of comparing Sandeep kumar with Mahatma Gandhi and Nehru in his illegal extra-marital sexual liaisons. However, Ashutosh defence crumbled when the woman victim in the sex sting TV went to court today saying that she was being sexually blackmailed by the senior AAP leader Sandeep Kumar.
While giving his justification, Ashutosh wrote in his blog: “Indian history is full of examples of our leaders and heroes who had lived with their desires beyond social boundaries. Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru’s reported affairs with many female colleagues were juicy gossip but it didn’t spoil his political career. His relationship with Edwina Mountbatten is widely discussed. Gandhiji in his later days slept naked with his two nieces to experiment with celibacy.”
Not to lag behind, Sandeep in his defence told the media that he was being targeted because he was a Dalit. “ I am being targeted because I have set up a statue of Babasaheb Ambedkar in my house” he told reporters.
However, AAP spokesperson Ashutosh, instead of apologising, attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Another AAP MLA arrested. Has Modi gone mad? Has he lost his mental balance? If PM acts with such anger/vengeance then is country safe!,” he tweeted.
Ashutosh chose to defend Sandeep Kumar citing a logic which only further establishes anti-women credentials of AAP leaders.
This is not the first time, AAP has defended the its anti-women sexist leaders. Earlier, Kejriwal personally defended AAP’s ex-minister Somnath Bharti, who personally made foreign women visitors to urinate in public to prove that they take drugs, a accusation that was found to to be false later. In an ironical twist, Somnath was later arrested for violently beating his wife.
Earlier this month, Kejriwal continued to back its Narela MLA Sharad Chauhan, who is in judicial custody on charges of abetment to suicide of an AAP woman party worker.
